The crew at TriEvents sent us a brochure about this marathon Sat 17th September over in WA and asked us to get the word out.  It’s certainly a long way to go for anyone from our region but a beautiful place to combine a bike race and a holiday.  It’s also the Western Australian Marathon Championships if anyone’s keen to go steal the title as a Victorian….

Where: Mt.Beauty
When: Sunday 29/5
What: Pretty standard XC/lap format race. 2.6km course that will be completed as follows -
Junior/Sport men B – 2 laps
Sport A/Sport woman – 3 laps
Elite/Expert Women – 4 laps
Elite / Expert Men – 5 laps

How: In order for us at Team Mount Beauty to show off some more of our extensive track network we’ve decided to alter the standard starting format of a race and include a short warm-up prologue. This will take us about 15mins and take us to the start of the loop higher up on the hill than the standard carpark start location. All will be explained at a rider briefing at 9:30am on the day. Rego/entry will still take place in the traditional carpark location from 8am – 9am on the Sunday. Prologue immediately after briefing with racing anticipated to start at 10am.Map with rego location, warm-up track and race loop here:
